Hamish Frost is an adventure and mountain sports photographer based in Scotland. He thrives off working in cold, wet and generally miserable conditions, capturing images of athletes pushing their limits in harsh mountain environments. Adopting a fast and light approach to his photography, Hamish takes pride in his ability to move around the mountains quickly, keeping pace with his subjects whilst capturing and documenting the stories behind their exploits.
Although best known for his skiing and winter climbing photography, he has also shot BASE jumping, alpine climbing, downhill biking and trail running. Hamish is a proficient skier, climber and ultra-distance mountain runner and has competed in Skyrunner® World Series races.
He has produced images for clients including Rab, Scarpa, Pertex, Jöttnar, Coldhouse Collective, The Ski Club of Great Britain, Cut Media and The BMC. His images have been published in The Times, Sidetracked Magazine, Trail Magazine, Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2017, and a variety of other publications around the world.
Hamish is available for commissioned work both within the UK and worldwide.
